<description>Come help families and keiki&#x27;s by walking in the 40th Anniversary March for Babies, the annual fund-raising event for the March of Dimes.  Money raised helps families cope with the separation while moms and premature babies stay at Kapiolani Neonatal Intensive Care.  The March of Dimes research has helped many of our tiniest keiki survive...and thrive!  The event is a 2 mile walk at Lydgate park and walkers can stroll along the beach.  Participants can then enjoy food, games, and prizes to cap off a great morning.</description>

<description>Women&#x27;s golf scramble to benefit nursing scholarship fund...and you don&#x27;t have to be a woman or a golfer to help support our nursing students.  All  men, as well as non-golfing women, are encouraged to join in the post-game festivities at Joe&#x27;s on the Green in Poipu for a registration fee of $25.  All women golfers may register for this year&#x27;s three-woman scramble either as a complete team or as individuals to be placed on a team.  

The $85 per person entry fee will provide for green fees, golf cart, gift bag and heavy pupus to follow at Joe&#x27;s on the Green, where the fundraiser will continue with prize drawings and a silent auction. <description>This is an incredible international outrigger canoe racing event that promotes OC1, OC2, and OC6 and surf-ski paddling on Kauai. 

The main event of the Kauai World Challenge, which is a coastal relay, will take place on Saturday, May 8.  The race course will be:  Wailua Bay to Hanamaulu Bay; Hanamaulu Bay to Kalapaki Bay; Kalapaki Bay to Poipu Beach Park and Poipu Beach Park to Salt Pond Beach Park.  Ceremonies to be at Salt Pond Beach Park.

Pre-race events are scheduled as follows:  May 5: Kalihiwai to Hanalei or Haena; May 6: Kalapaki to Poipu and May 7is main event orientation and welcome dinner for paddlers and visitors.  </description>
