The Kauai Festival begins the weekend of June 21-22, at Malama Kauai in Kilauea, with Saturday's Summer Solstice Celebration & Concert, and Sunday's Workshop & Tour Day. Additional tours, classes and workshops will be held Monday June 23, though Thursday June 26, at unique locations around Kauai. The Festival Summer Solstice Celebration & Concert begins Saturday June 21 at the Malama Kauai Sustainability Center in Kilauea (former Guava Kai Plantation). Opening Ceremony is at 9:30am, and the Festival runs from 10:00am to 5:00pm with a full day of cultural activities and entertainment, Healthy & Green booths featuring Kauai's amazing food, services and products, and presentations and demonstrations of cultural healing arts and sustainablity. The days events are Free. The Special Solstice Celebration concert from 6:00-9:00pm, features an evening of music and entertainment celebrating the summer solstice in Hawaii! Cultural practitioners and agricultural experts will present a variety of morning and afternoon workshops, classes and tours on cultural healing arts, herbology, cooking classes, organic farming, sustainable agriculture massage, and more! Additional Workshops, cooking classes, and tours will be held from Monday through Thursday at special locations around the island of Kauai.
